In conclusion, we have moved towards the idea that certain anormal language forms associated with (but not exclusively determined by) non-ordinary states of consciousness prove interesting when attempting to oppose the ‘law’ operation of the symbolic order. From this point we explored two calibrations of this idea; one from anti-psychiatry the other taken from Julia Kristeva’s early writing. This left us with a question - how do we use language, against language, from within language? – one that we began to grapple with via a tripartite analysis of symbolic subversion taken from Sherri Turkle.

For now this is enough. For sure there is much more more to do here. Indeed the arc of this project ultimately points away from abstract theoretical contemplation and towards the applied language of art and its hermeneutics.
