‘Black Oval’, 2005
A black oval is printed out from a Word document and photocopied a 100 times, each time from the previous copy. This way each copy is contaminated more and more by the machine’s incapacity to make a perfect copy, by the dust in the atmosphere and by human imprecision.
The procedure is repeated with three different photocopiers.
